I mostly use dark semi sweet organic chocolate chips, however when I am using well known brand name chips, I go with Hershey's or Nestle Toll House. Both of these two brands are absolutely delicious, and the chips will perfectly melt in your saucepan, whereas some lesser quality chocolate chips will melt clumpy and burn very quickly. So there you have it, use Hershey's or Nestle Toll House chips if your local grocer stocks them, which if you live in the United States is extremely likely.
